I have just found so information relating to a Patrick Holly and John Holly.  They are mentioned in the Griffiths Valuation in 1851 in this parish of Monanimy lower.  Fermoy, Cork union Mallow. 

My relatives from here were Thomas and Margaret Holly (Noonan) and my 3x Great grandfather David Holly who travelled to Australia in the 1850's.  I would think that there must be a link with the above and my relatives. 

If anyone has any information for teh Holly family's in this Parish or area would be wonderful.

    The RC parish for Monanimy is Annakissy/Killavullen and records go back to 1805 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0006

    I looked on Roots Ireland which is a subscription site and there were 19 baptismal records.and three marriage records in Killavullen parish. I copied the earliest two baptismal records and possibly the first is for your 3x great-grandfather. I did not find a Thomas. You may want to get a short-term subscription to Roots Ireland and review the records or go thru the parish register.
