I am searching for information on Lynch family who we believe lived were of Castleisland Parish in 1840s and 1850s. a grandparent by name of Michael Lynch came to U.S. in 1848 at age 18, bringing sister Johanna with him. She was 13. Not sure of their father's first name, but believe mother's name was Mary with maiden name of Langford. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Cathy Lynch

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched www.irishgenealogy.ie which is a free Irish government site which has Co. Kerry church records. I located a possible baptismal record for Johanna in the Ballybunion RC church in 1832. See below. Ballybunion is a good deal to the northwest from Castleisland. I checked the online parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0651 and baptismal records start in November 1831 which explains why I did not find a record for Michael since he was older than Johanna.
The record indicates that the family lived in Gillane townland. I think the official name would be Gullane in Kilconly civil parish. There are actually three Gullanes in the same area: Gullane East, Gullane West and Gullane Middle. Let me know if you have questions.

Roger, thank you so much for responding to my request. I was so happy to see it so fast and am sorry I was unable to respond until now.
We are trying to make sense of the 1832 birthyear you show for Johanna. We have a lot of info on her, and it all coincides with her being born in 1835. I am trying to see if there are other siblings of Michael and Johanna who are shown as John Lynch and Mary Langford children. If you see any of those, I would love to know who else there might be. We believe there were siblings who stayed in Ireland. I will look into the Gullane andd Kilconly civil parishes, and Ballybunion. We have references to Ballybriggan in some info on them, but it appears that is in County Cork. Could they have overlapped at a point in the mid 1800s? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you again, SO MUCH for your time and help. Is there anything in particular I shouls seek out?
