I am looking for information regarding Owen Lamb, who resided in Killylough in the 1840s.  He is thought to have been born in Armagh about 1820. He was married to Catherine McRory (aka McCrory).  The marriage took place in Donagh. They had two sons, Patrick and William (my great-great-grandfather), both of whom were born in Killylough and baptised in Tedavnet.  Patrick and William both emigrated to America post-1865 and settled in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.  They married the McGovern sisters.  Their mother Catherine is said to have stayed in Ireland.  Their father, Owen, seems to have disappeared. One account has him emigrating to America and "being lost" in the American Civil War. However, there are no conclusive records that would indicate this (could be onf of three people).  If there are any distant relatives who may know of Owen and Catherine, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Hopefully, someone wih connections will see your message and post a comment. In the interim, you may want to consider autosomal DNA testing to see if you match someone with Lamb/McCrory connections.
