Looking for Owen Meehan and Susan Keenan   and son Francis Meehan. 

 

I am researching and cant find a marriage for them.   and not sure of their births, but  parish birth records and Griffiths Valuations  point to Owen being born 22 Jun 1841 in Killylough to Owen and Ellen Tierney.

Susanna Keenan birth may be 23 Feb 1846 In killylough, Tedavnet to Patricius and Sarah Farrell.

Children born after 1864, when records were available, were born in Scotstown between 1865 and 1875. 

I need to find their son Francis Meehan born between approximately  1859 and 1862 .  No birth records of a Francis or Owen or Patrick in those years show Owen and Susan as parents, though his marriage certificate in New Jersey lists them as his parents.   He is my direct ancestor.

I have searched variations of Meighan and Meegan and no luck.

    I did not find a marriage record for Owen and Susan or the baptismal record for Francis but did find an 1865 baptismal record for Catherine and an 1870 record for John. See below.   • Thank you for your interest in helping my research.   You confirm my inability to find results online.   I did go through many pages of film last month searching for a Francis Meehan. 

    I have birth records for children Catherine and John plus  Susan, John, Bridget, Ann and Michael all born in Scotstown

    but with different spellings of parents names and their last names.  

    The only Franciscus Meehan born 30 Aug 1860 was to an Edvardi and Eleanor Meehan, no sponsors listed, yet I can find no

    information on either anywhere online,  so dont know if there is any connection.  also, this Francis was born in Donagh, not Tedavnet.  

    also found a Patricius Meehan in tydavnet parish film for 17 Mar 1859, but can't read the names of parents,  though as far as I know all of Francis' records of immigration, and marriage, and children's births and death shows his name as Francis,Frank, or Franciscus.   but can find no records of him in Ireland. 

    So hopefully a researcher in the future has answers .
