63rd Annual O'Malley Clan Rally

When: Friday, 23 June, 2017

The O’Malley Clan is a Worldwide Association of people bearing the O’Malley name. Its aim is to foster connections between people of O’Malley Heritage and promote an awareness of the history of this Gaelic Clan. Each year since 1953 The Clan holds an Annual Gathering of O’Malleys, their extended families and friends, known as The O’Malley Rally.

Our next concert takes place on Monday 27th March in the Station House Theatre, Clifden, starting at 8pm. This will feature Emmanuelle Bertrand on cello and Pascal Amoyel, piano. It is said that 'Together they make eloquent magic'. This duo have performed together for many years and bring a real passion to everything they play.

Drowned landscapes of the Galway Coast

The next GAHS lecture by the renowned archaeologist and member of the society Michael Gibbons "The Drowned landscapes of the Galway Coast: Stone Boats, Sub-sea Roads and Ambergris" will place in the Harbour Hotel on Monday March 13 at 8.00pm. This promises to be a very interesting evening.

Shaskeen in Concert

Marking 47 years of traditional music, this concert sees the legendary group, featured in the recent TG4 documentary Shaskeen 40 Bliain Faoi Bhláth, returning to their original musical formula and will showcase both established and new sets of tunes and songs from their recent album Walking up Town.
