St. Thomas’s National School celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2004 and its 70th in 2014. Past pupils came from all over the world to view school records, going back to the mid 1800s.

All the football teams from all the Gaeltachts come together to compete in this competition. The venue varies as the overall winning team has to host the other teams the following year. The teams come from Co. Donegal, Co. Mayo,Co. Galway, Co. Meath, Co. Kerry, Co. Cork and Co.

Our Ceili Club meets on Monday nights in St. Joseph's Hall. We regularly attend sessions in other parts of Northern Ireland and get involved in the St. Patrick's Day Parade each year in the parish.

The Battle of Aubers Ridge and the Last Absolution of the Munsters Author Gerry White will give an anniversary lecture on the Royal Munster Fusiliers involvement in the Battle of Aubers Ridge and the famous painting of Fr. Gleeson's general absolution of the soldiers.

The Mass Rocks of County Cork Dr. Hilary Bishop, Liverpool John Moores University, will give a talk on the numerous Mass Rocks located within the County of Cork. This talk has been organised by the Cork Historical and Archaeological Society. All welcome, no cover charge.
