Tulla Famine Walk, Tulla County Clare

When: Thursday, 23 August, 2018

Come join us on Thursday 23 August 2018 at 7 pm to walk the places around Tulla and hear about the effects of the Famine on our parish. The walk is co-hosted by Clare Walks Ltd and Arlene White will be leading our walk. She will tell us about some of the places that played important roles in the Famine in Tulla as well as discuss some of the people in Tulla who tried to assist those in need.

The Tulla Reaching Out committee as part of the Ireland Reaching Out project have held a Weekend of the Welcomes since 2013. This event has fallen during Heritage Week as we encourage all to participate in the celebration of our local heritage and culture through a variety of events. The Ireland Reaching Out project seeks to re-connect the global diaspora with their ancestral parish. To date, Tulla Reaching Out has welcomed back more than 200 people from all over the world who can trace their ancestry back to the parish of Tulla. All events are free and we welcome all participants. Please join us for any event during the weekend.

Tulla Weekend of Welcomes

The Tulla Reaching Out committee has hosted the Weekend of the Welcomes for the last two years with great success. This event is a weekend event with a variety of activities for all ages and interests.
