Ambrose Delany, born around 1834, believed to be a native of Nenagh, Tipperary who came to Victoria (Aust) in about 1856 and finally settled in the goldfields town of Gordon with his wife Mary (nee Ryan). His younger brother James (DOB ~1839) and sister Catherine (DOB ~1842) followed him to Australia and lived in the same district. James appeared to assist Ambrose & Mary in their hotel keeping interests. Their parents were Michael and Eliza (nee Kite/Kyte).
