Andrew/Andreas Redmond, 1789-1867, was baptized 12/6/1789 in Garridaniel town, Litter parish (aka Kilmuckridge), Ferns diocese, Cty Wexford. His father was William Redmond (b 1765), and mother was Hanna Murphy. Baptismal sponsors were Michael Doyle and Margarita Bulger. Andrew had two sisters that I know of: Marg* (b 1795 in Garridaniel, sponsors Andrew Murphy and Alexa/Alicia/Alisia Earl; and Marg't (b 1796 in Garridaniel, sponsors Thomas Roch and Rosy Murphy). I haven't found records of other siblings. Possibly Andrew was not the oldest son to inherit any land, prompting his emigration to Canada. Considering the era and location, father William might have been killed in the 1798 battle at Ennisorthy or other skirmishes in the area.
Andrew married Anastasia Murphy. They had 8 children: Andrew (b 1820), Margaret (b 1823), Bridget (b 1827), James (b 1831), Thomas (b 1831), William (b 1834), and twins John and Peter (b 1838). The couple emigrated to Frampton, Quebec, Canada in ~1825 with the first two children; all other children were born in Canada. Andrew and Anastasia both died in their adopted town in Canada, while several children moved on through Canada, California, and Massachusetts.
