My great-great grandmother, Anne Moynahan was born in County Kerry, circa 1838.

Anne's mother and father were Honora (Breshnahan) Moynahan and Andrew Moynahan.

On May 10 1860, Anne married John Kelleher (Keliher) (baptismal record indicates John's address was in Tonwanee, Castleisland, County Kerry).

John's parents were Jeremiah (Dermot) Kelleher (Keliher) (1808 - 1877) and Elizabeth (Herlihy) Kelleher (1811 - ?).

Their first son, Jeremiah was born and baptised on 11 June 1860.

On 20 Septemeber 1860, they arrived in Victoria, Australia and spent the next two years in Melbourne.

Their second son Maurice, and first daughter, Elizabeth were also born in 1862, in Melbourne.

On the 11 August 1862 they started their journey to the gold diggings in Jericho.

In 1866, their second daughter Hanora, was born in Donnellys Creek, Victoria.

In 1868, their third son John was born in Donnellys Creek, Victoria.

In 1869, their third daughter, Mary (my great-grandmother) was born, also in Donnellys Creek, Victoria.

In 1870, Patrick was born, Annie was born in 1871, and Daniel was born in 1872.

In 1873, they became farmers on a property in Newry, 10 km north west of the small town of Maffra.

In 1875 John Kelleher died and was buried in the Maffra cemetery on 11 November 1875.

Anne lived in Newry until 1907 and then moved to Maffra until her passing on 20 February 1927.
