"Robinson, Mrs Ann, daughter of Matthew Vance, a local preacher and his wife Margaret was born Fermanagh, 22 May 1802. Married William Robinson in 1823. Came to Canada with him in 1831 and settled in Tyendinaga (Hastings County) Her husband died in 1852. She died at house of her son John where she spent the last year of her life and is buried in Hastings County, survived by her sons and daughters"

In 1834 Militia for Tyendinaga, Upper Canada - William Robinson Age 37 Concession 2 Lot 18 and Alexander Vance Age 30 Con 2 Lot 19 were neighbours. Alexander Vance and Rebecca left Tyendinaga and took their family to Kincardine Ontario.
