Annie Burke's parents, Patrick Burke & Honoriah Anne Finn/Flynn married at St Nicholas, Galway in 1858. Annie was baptised there in 1859 before the family left for India. Her father was in the Royal Artillery. Annie married John Leahy at Ferozapore, India in 1875 with whom she had 13 children. Her husband died in 1906 in the Isle of Wight where the family had moved to for John's retirement. Annie then returned to Agra in India, then Bombay, where she lived until her death in the 1930s. She was buried at Mahalaxmi Cemetery.
