Annie, my great-great grandmother, married Michael Dooley in February 1853 at Grawn, Co. Tipperary. Pat Maher and Kitty Dooley were witnesses. Annie and Michael emigrated to Australia and travelled to the Bendigo Goldfields in Central Victoria. They had 4 children but only 1 survived, my great-grandfather John Michael Dooley who was born in Bendigo in 1863. Michael died in Bendigo on 4 December 1868, aged 45. Annie remarried and moved to another goldmining town Rushworth.
