My 3 x great grandfather Anthony Maher, son of David Maher 1775, and Judith Dwyer 1786, Anthony was baptized April 18, 1821 Templemore, Tipperary. Anthony was the youngest of 7 children born in Templemore, Thomas 1812, Ann 1813, Dennis 1814, James 1815, Catherine 1816, John 1817, and David 1818. Shortly after his birth the family left for Quebec, Canada first appearing on the 1825 census Parish of Ste. Catherine de Fossambault; Village of St. Patrick (new settlement) north of Quebec City.
