  • Additional information - Anthony is buried in Boreham churchyard in the same grave as his brother and sister in law. The headstone, now so weatherworn it is almost smooth, is to be found a few stepsfrom the door to the church.

    Essex Record  T/P 72/1. Boreham Church yard: [adjacent entries] 1. Joseph Kirkham d. June 20 1822 aged 46 [sic - should be 40]. 2. Elizabeth his wife d. March 18th 1844 aged 60. Anthony McDonnell, Quarter Master L'. Dragoons ob. June 1812 aged 36.

    The entry in the parish burial register shows him to have died from a paralytic stroke.
