Was Bartholomew from the townland of Killamaun? If so, do you have the names of his parents, and especially his siblings? Thank you!
Bartholomew married Mary Stanford in Mohill. Their 3 eldest children, James b. 1837, Anne, b. 1841 and Marian b. 1847 were born in Mohill. Shortly after Marian's birth the family immigrated to US and settled in New Haven, CT.

I don't have much on Bartholomew other than that he and Mary lived in Mohill. The church records don't go back far enough for his baptism. The childrens' baptisms only list Mohill. In New Haven, CT in 1870 there was a Michael Carroll, 40, and wife Mary, 45, living in the same house as Bartholomew and family. Not sure if Michael is related. He is not a child of Bartholomew, may have been a nephew. If you are related to Carrolls of Mohill let me know if you did a DNA test. I have mine on Ancestry and myFTDNA. ~mary mpitkin (at) live.com
