Bessie was born in Kilnagun, Virginia, Cavan and went to San Francisco in the early 1900s. She married John Augustine Geraghty and had two children - Patrick in around 1908 and Elizabeth (Bessey/Bessie) in 1910. We believe that she died and my Granny - Elizabeth (Bessey/Bessie) was sent to Ireland to live with her uncle and aunt (we know this part is correct as my Dad grew up in that area and knew the uncle and aunt.
