Bridget was born in Ballynakill, Galway in townland of Tievegariff in 1860 to Tadgh "Tady" Coyne and Catherine Lydon. named after her mother's mother. she left Ireland in very early 1862 with her parents and older brother John Francis (my great grandfather, born 1858) and settled in Marcellus, a small village in Upstate NY where many others from the Ballynakill area also settled.
She married William Clark and had 5 children and her descendants are many and strong. She died in 1940 in Syracuse, NY and is buried in St. Agnes cemetery in Syracuse.
she was called Delia much of her life to the point her grandchildren never knew her real many until I uncovered in my research. I believe she became "Delia" since her Lydon grandmother, Bridget Coyne Lydon (and husband Patrick) came to live with my Coyne family after they came over in 1870.
