Bridget Curran was born in 1901 to James Curran and Bridget Carr in Braade Upper Glencolmcille. In 1925 at the age of 23 Bridget came to live in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. Bridget would later be joined by her brother Hugh in 1927. Sadly, Bridget died of cancer in 1957 and is buried at Holy Sepulcre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA. The Donegal News on Saturday March 30, 1957 stated: " She was a member of a very highly esteemed and respected South-West Donegal and was also a member of a very patriotic family - two of her brothers - Mr. John Curran, Braide, and Mr. James Curran, Philadelphia - having served in the volunteers.
