Bridget Cusack was born in about June of 1852. Ballycroy is listed on her death certificate.
She was the daughter of Daniel Cusack from Doohoma and Bridget Gaughan. She Married Thomas Cusick, who was a son of Philip Cusick and Catherine (possibly Sarah) Masterson, but I am not sure if they married in Ireland or in the USA
Philip Cusick was living in Mulranny in the 1850's according to Griffiths Valuation. I think he may have been born there but am not sure.
Bridget emigrated to the USA in 1869, with Thomas and his father Philip, and other relatives, I believe.
They settled and raised a family in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
They lived on Matson Ave, Wilkesbarre for about 30 years. Bridget and Thomas also lived in Ashley and the Parsons areas near Wilkesbarre from approx.1870 - 1880. I think they went to Conygham township, in Columbia Co. when they came to Pennsylvania first. They may have had a son Philip who died as an infant in 1870 ish.
They then moved to the Wilkesbarre area.They are listed on the 1880 to 1900 federal censuses in Luzerne County. Bridget gave birth to 12 or 13 children, but only 6 survived to adulthood. Including my grandfather James J. Cusick. Who settled in Cleveland Ohio.
Bridget died in 1906 after suffering from diabetes for 2 years
