Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in Australia

Bridget Glynn was born in Doon, Fohenagh Parish, County Galway ca 1840.  She married John Kennedy, and they had six children who were born in Ireland before the family emigrated in 1870.

Those children, who were all born in Doon, are:  Patrick, b. 1859, Thomas, b.?, Margaret, b. 1863, Mary Agnes, b. 1865, Ann, b. 1867 and John b, 1869.

John Kennedy was a herdsman, and the family had close ties to the Naughton and Killea families, As Patt Naughton and Thomas Killalea were sponsors for two of the Kennedy births and Thomas Nocten was a godparent for one of the children.  There were two Bridget Glynns of the same age in this parish as evidenced by the communion record of 12 Jan 1855.  There is a possibility that John Kennedy's parents could be John Kennedy and Catherine Healy, but I have no documented proof of that.
