Bridget Horahan married William Broderick, perhaps from Galway. They had a son named Patrick, who with his mother traveled to New York City about 1850 (?), where he became a Manhattan policeman. William Broderick didn't appear to have come to the U.S. and little is known about him. Patrick married Mary Madden and their eldest son, born 1867, was named William Joseph Broderick.
