My maiden name is Keane, my father was born in Tulla in 1918, his mother was born in Kilmore and her maiden name was McNamara. One of my fathers brothers married a Bridget O'Dea from Kerry. In the early 60's my father emigrated to Australia but decided not to stay so travelled around for a couple of years calling in at Randwick to visit relatives! I have assumed that he visited someone from his mothers family as I traced one of her brothers there but now wonder if there may have been someone from my Keane line there as well.
