Bridget Reddan, daughter of Thomas Reddan and Ellen Crimins (aka Crimmons) from Limerick, Ireland married John Clancy from County Clare in South Melbourne Victoria Australia. She was 21 years old and was illiterate (Victoria, Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages, Marriage Certificate of John Clancy and Bridget Reddan 482/1862).

According to the Catholic Parish Registers on the National Library Ireland website her parents were married 1 March 1840 in Shanagolden, Diocese of Limerick. The witnesses were Joanne Reddan and Jacobo Donovan (presumably Joan and James).

I believe Bridget was born about 1840. I've been told that she had a sister, Mary, and a brother Thomas. Thomas was baptised 29 August 1844, godparents were Michael and Maria Reddan.

She and John had 11 children: Daniel, Thomas, Ellen, Thomas Patrick, Michael, Catherine, Mary Ann, Bridget, Margaret, John and Patrick.

Aged 42, she died 27 November 1882 at 4 Little Bank Street, South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (Victoria, Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages, Death Certificate of Bridget Clancy 11645/1882). At the time of her death her eldest child was nineteen years old and her youngest was only 2 years old.
