  • Hello,

I had a look for her parents and found this marriage certificate on civil Records. I am not sure if it’s them or not as they got married in 1864 in dublin but their address is in County Meath. When you click on this link you will have to do I am not a robot and Type your name (totally normal on every record you wish to view)

    Here it is: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1864/11618/8277224.pdf

If there is any problems with the link let me know,

    Dario

  • Hey Dario! thanks so much for this, I had found this information but no way to get this certificate. now I have a possible lead since one of the witnesses was a Thomas Meade. he could be a brother to Catherine. once again, thanks so much for looking and sending the certificate my way

  • Hi Addys,

No problem, I am glad I could help. Just found this... this could be a marriage of the brother (same father) . But no guarantees. https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1871/11361/8171118.pdf

  • it could be but I'm leaning towards no because Patrick was a laborer at Catherine's wedding, here he's a farmer. but who knows, I will keep that in mind. I was wondering something, maybe you know. so Catherine was 22 at her wedding, that would put her as been born in 1842, I know that civil records only started in 1864, so I would need to look for her birth record at the church, correct? would you think that I should look in North Dublin since usually they married in the bride's parish?

    thanks for your help

  • Hi Addys, A great website to use would be rootsireland.ie. They will probably most definitely have the baptism record and even more. Clontarf RC I think is on that website. But unfortunately it is a subscription based website. My subscription has ran out but this is a great start. I wish you the best of luck with your search. Kind regards, Dario, Dublin, ireland
