Cyriac was born around 1784 in Ireland. He was adopted in Pictou, NS by Acadian parents, Joseph and Marie Aucoin, around 1786. He then lived in Cheticamp NS for the duration of his life. He married Rosalie Josephine Harnois and had 12 children together (9 sons and 3 daughters). He passed in 1849, at the age of 65, in Cheticamp, NS.

I would be very interested in the source documentation that indicates Cyriac was born in Ireland and adopted at Pictou NS.
The 1818 NS census information that I have indictates he was born in Nova Scotia to Irish parents and adopted by the Aucoins. There is no mention of Pictou.
