I am decended from Cyriac Roach who was born in Ireland about 1784 and sailed from Ireland to Canada with his parents and many siblings. The children were adopted out to families in Nova Scotia. I can only find one reference to his possible parents Joseph Roach born 1730 and Marie Roach 1745. Any info on Cyriac woul be gratefully appreciated. Thankyou, Janet Roach.

I am also descendent from Cyriac and have been researching his origins for some time now with no luck.
He was adopted by Joseph Aucoin and Marie (Hebert) Aucoin sometime before 1786 when they settled at Cheticamp, NS. They had no children of their own.
According to the Nova Scotia Census of 1818, Cyriac was born in Nova Scotia (which included New Brunswick and PEI at the time) to Irish parents. - but that information was most likely provided by Cyriac himself.
I would be very interested in the source of the informtion you have that indicates that Cyriac was born in Ireland and immigrated with his parents and many siblings, and that the other childern were adopted out.
