My maternal great grandfather Daniel Doody, was born in Brosna, Kerry in 1863. He emigrated to USA in 1882 and made his way to Illinois. He married Johanna Keane (Annie Kane) and had three daughters. The family then returned to Ireland in 1899. My grandfather and six more children were born in Ireland. He is seen in this photo with his wife Johanna and son Timothy.

Hi Do you have a Margerat Doody known as Julia born in Knockbrack, in Feb. 1890 to Timothy Doody and Elizabeth Kirby in your family tree? She married Nicholas Cotter a farmer from Knockane, Brosna and they had two daughters. Julia died in Brosna in 1974 but they have family still on the farm.

Sorry - no. The only Timothy Doody I have in my tree at present married Brigid Griffin. He was born in Knocknagoshel and died in New York.
My family does have lots of ties to Brosna - so maybe we have other links....
