Dan migrated via ship Orsova in late 1890's initially to Queensland where he cut sugar cane for work. His brother Patrick and sister Maggie joined him in Australia later. He Married Elizabeth Bridget Lalor in Mount Prospect, Victoria, Australia in 1897 and had 11 children, John Patrick, Agnes May, Margaret, Stanley, Edward, Francis, Daniel, Catherine, Leonard, Veronica, James. Dan worked for the Victorian Railways and originally moved around Victoria before settling in Carlton and Heidelberg. Dan died from cancer in 1936.
