Daniel Nowlan aged 20 joins the RIC 14/9/1853. He resigns on 26/10/1859 and emigrates to Australia.
He takes up the selection in Shoreham later sold to Catherine for 10 shillings. The 10 shillings was the lowest fee payable to change the deed In 1862 he joins the Victoria Police Force serving for 27 years.
In 1870 he marries Bridget Kennedy in Castlemaine. He dies in Castlemaine in 1894.
