David (aka Dave) was born in the townland of Drumcrow, in the parish of Tickmacrevan, county Antrim.
His parents were David Morrow and Mary Jane Watt.
He had 6 brothers and 3 sisters - Margaret (aka Maggie or Peggy), John (aka Jack), James (aka Jim), Daniel, Mary, William (aka Bill), Robert (Bob), Betty, and Tommy.
In May of 1910, the Morrows left their family farm behind and headed to Liverpool, England where they boarded the Lake Manitoba and sailed to Quebec City, Canada. They arrived there on May 22, 1910 and then boarded a train for Winnipeg, Manitoba, where David had relatives. They arrived there on May 26, 1910.
Both Peggy (m. David Wilson) and Mary (m. John Leighton) moved to Vancouver, British Columbia after their marriages. Bill eventually moved to Los Angeles, California USA with his wife Alberta May Sangster. David and all of his other siblings lived out their lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
He served in World War I in the Canadian Expeditionary Forces, winning a Distinguished Conduct Medal.
