Della Slowey/Sloey : Short Biography

Della SLOWEY was born on January 21, 1882, in Mayo, Ireland, to Martin Slowey (1847-1903) and Sarah Moan (1858-1931).  She had at least 10 siblings many of which immigrated to the USA.  Della immigrated to the US in 1901 through Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.   She married John CALLANAN of Tonawanda, NY, on August 5, 1903, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They had eight children. She died on December 25, 1964, in Hickory, North Carolina.
