Hi I'm the great great grand daughter of Dorinda Saltry. Lemuel George Eldridge was my grandfather and Rebecca is my great grandmother. I live in Austalia and didn't know about Dorinda until today. Not sure how we're related but its very interesting to find out more about Dorinda or Terenda ? Saltry
Dorina arrived in Melbourne Australia on board "Lady Kennaway" which arrived in December 1848 carrying a load of Irish famine orphan girls.
Her parents were listed as being Cains (we now know spelt Kearns) SALTRY and Rebecca UNKNOWN (to date there have been no leads as to who her mother was other than this information).
Dorinda SALTRY married Lemuel Etheldred BRYENTON a Pentonvillian in 1850, Melbourne, Australia. She had 9 children during her marriage to Lemuel and died on Christmas Day 1867.
I am descended through Dorinda's daughter Rebecca born in 1855.

Hi, I am also a 3x Great Granddaughter of Dorinda Saltry, her daughter Rebecca Eldridge (Bryenton) is my 2x Great Grandmother and then her daughter Ruby May Redding (Eldridge) (sister to Lemuel George Eldridge) is my Great Grandmother.
