Edward James Thompson was born April 29, 1871 in Corbally, Dromore West, Castleconnor, Sligo, Ireland. He emigrated to Montreal Quebec, Canada on the Allen Line ship the "Circassian" from Liverpool and Londonderry arriving May 21, 1893. His parents were George Thompson and Annie Rogers Smyth who were married February 2, 1869 in Killala, Sligo, Ireland. George was born George Thomson on March 17 1838 in Port Allen, Errol, Perthshire, Scotland and died July 10, 1921 in Union Place, Sligo, Ireland.
Edward was my great grandfather.
