This Edward Kearney was somehow related to the Edward Kearney who lived in the Leck parish in the townland of Ardaganny as DNA trees on Ancestry indicate this linkage. Perhaps they were cousins since they were born just a few years apart. He was my mother's grandfather, and all of her Irish DNA indicates that her ancestors were from County Donegal. She is now 94 years old.
I have no birth or marriage records for Edward, but I know that he did marry Mary McGinley (probably in the early 1840's) and they had a son named Edward, born in 1843. The 3 of them immigrated to New York in June of 1844, traveling on the Peter Hattrick ship from Liverpool.
I would love to find out any information about him and/or his family to be able to further my genealogy research.
