Within the last week, I found a record of a Thomas Mullen, son of Thomas and Anne, from Talbotstown, baptized on 12 Jan 1804, at the Roman Catholic church in Rathvilly. Now I'm wondering if the older Thomas was the father of "my" Edward Mullen; with the younger Thomas being Edward's brother. One of Edward Mullen's children was Mary Ann Mullen (born in Pennsylvania in 1838); her maternal grandmother was Mary (nee Greenfield) Tinsley, and I wonder if her middle name was in honor of her paternal grandmother.
