Does your Edward have any siblings named John? I'm looking for a John Foley who had a son named Edward, born around 1822-30. I found a John Foley/Eleanor Kavanagh in Castlecomer parish (Kilkenny) who baptized two sons in 1813 and 1815. There are no records in that parish from 1818-28. I checked 1828-30 but no children were baptized to a John/Ellen during that time. If your Edward was born around 1800, he could be a younger sibling of my John, maybe??
