Hi there, This lady was my Gran Aunt.My grandmother was Annie Collins (Russell) and the youngest of that family.She was the only one not to follow Uncle Nicholas to America.My poor mother May Collins passed away 5 months ago so it was so nice to accidentally come across this post.Cathal McDaniel(Dublin and Kilbeggan)
Emigrated to United States, settled into the Hartford Connecticut area. Her great Uncle Nicholas Russell and her sisters were already in Hartford. She married and had four children. Worked as a maid in the Bond Hotel in Hartford. Lived with her sister Katie in her later years before living with her daughter.

Hello Cathal,
It was a good surprise to hear from you. This is Kelly Greene from Connecticut and Florida. I was aware your Grandmother was the only one not to emigrate. Our Great Uncle John was the only one to emigrate and return . I have been able to do quite a bit of research about the Russell's who did emigrate as well as those that never did. I need to update this group with the information I have about the two generations of Russell's who did come over. Perhaps we could share information about the Irish and American sides.
