Elizabeth McNamara was born in Nenagh, Tipperary, circa 1783.

She was tried in Clonmel in september 1801 (she was 18 years old) and transported to Australia as a convict aboard the Atlas Which left Cork in November 1801.

The Atlas arrived in Sydney July 1802, where her transport papers say she was 19 years old. Her first son was born 25th of May 1803 and she named him John Browne, her death Certificate lists his father as David Browne.
