Ellen Bevan was born early in January in Bruff Limerick Ireland.
Baptised at the catholic church of Athlacca and Dromin on 11th Jan 1825
She was the daughter of Helen Sheedy and Henry Bevan. Her Baptism notes that she was an illegitimate child but the father was named.
Ellen migrated to Australia and arrived on the 22nd of November 1842 on the Royal Saxon
She married Stewart Smillie on 17th October 1843 in Launceston Tasmania
She died in Launceston Tasmania on the 5th March 1869
