  • Hi Katy,

    Sadly I have very little information about my great great grandmother Ellen Moran.  Born around 1832 at Funchinmore which I believe is quite close to Kinvara.  She married Michael Halvey and had 7 children.  Her daughter Mary Ellen Halvey emigrated to Australia - she is my great grandmother.

    I have no idea of the names of Ellen Moran's parents nor any information about Michael Halvey.  I believe there are a lot of Halveys in the area, so very difficult to work out who belongs in which families.

    I think Ellen Moran had a brother Pat (Patt) born around 1830.  Both Patt and Ellen lived to into their late 80's or early 90's.
