Hello to you all from Australia I hope you are all safe and well as can be .
My maternal ancestor was Ellen Power b abt 1817 in County Clare parents Thomas and Anna Power .
She left Ireland for Australia in 1835 on the Duchess of Northumberland and lived in New South Wales and married Charles Fairman in 1843 she also changed her name to Anna which was her mother's name .
Anna ( Ellen ) died in 1870 at 52 years and was buried in the old Bega NSW Cemetery which with all grave sites was bulldozed in 1940s and the now Bega High School was built over all these grave sites so I suppose these remains have the biggest Cemetery monument in Australia.
