My cousin Janet Nolan wrote a book called Ourselves alone..A womans emigration from Ireland 1885-1920. Mary Ann Donovan Nolan was her Grandmother. Do you know the family? Mary
Mary - I am descended from a few Schull families (Leahy, Coughlan, Donovan, Flynn etc) but dont currently have your Mary Ann in my tree. When I saw your post I checked mt tree and saw that I had been previously trying to connect her to my Donovans. Would like to try and connect the families.

Baptismal of Ellen on the 16/04/1864 Ellen was baptised to John Donovan and Mary Coughlan my Gr Grmother Ellen had two siblings John baptised 1868 and Mary baptised in 1871.
The parish of Aughadown just west of Skibbereen is the location of the Ellen and John's baptismal and Mary was baptized in the parish of Schull just west of Aughdown.

This is what I know: Marriage John Donovan and Mary Coughlin (Aughadown) and date (1/18/1859) Both Died in 1887.
