Where did he live? Have you done DNA testing? My great grandmother was Elizabeth Jane O'Connor from Newtownstewart. Her father Hugh and her grandfather was John. Apparently O'Connor is not as common a name as elsewhere in Ireland.

I've been trying to determine if all of the O'Connors in Tyrone had some sort of relationship or not.
I did find a Felix Connor born 16 June 1783 in "Duncannon" Tyrone on rootsireland to Felix Connor and Catherine Cahey.
