Francis Young was married to Lady Blackall and they came to Peterborough as part of the Peter Robinson immigration, 1825.  They came from Newport, Tipperary.  She had died, so Francis brought his 9 sons and 2 daughters to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.  They were on the John Barry boat.  We wnet to Newport early 90's to try to find some relatives or tombstone of Lady Blackall, or where they might have registered the marriage or births.  We didn't have much luck, even after going to graveyards and churches.

  • Hi    I have dna matches to a few Youngs.   I found a record in Munnia Newport Tipperary which is between Newport and Killoscully

and in the general area my family lived.   I see this one kit in so many of my matches but have yet to figure out how they connect.

    Sure would like to know.
