Hannah Josephine Scully : Short Biography

Hannah Josephine Scully aka Joan Scully was the Daughter of Michael Scully and Hanora “Nora” Buckley. The Scully home is 3 windmill rd in cork city. Joan immigrated to the United States at age 18 in 1923. She went to Boston and her mother’s sister Helena Duff nee Buckley was who she went too after getting off the ship. She married her husband in Somerville,Massachusetts in 1935 . A year later her son my grandfather was born and then year after her daughter was born. Sadly in 1946, age 41 Joan Scully died after falling down the stairs in her home. At this time, she was pregnant with her third child who all died because of the fall.
