Henry Holmes was born about 1830 in County Tyrone (Parish unknown). He arrived as a free man in NSW, Australia, on 2 July 1857. He married Mary Ann King on 21 January 1869 in Bathurst, NSW, Australia and they had 13 children. Henry died on 2 July, 1926 in Newtown, NSW, Australia at the age of 96yrs and is buried in Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney, NSW, Australia. On his death certificate his parents are noted as David Holmes and Elizabeth nee Reid. However, I have been unable to find any information about them. If anyone can assist, I would appreciate hearing from them.
