Believed to be born in Roscommon between 1821-1831. Married 1857 in Kilmore, Roscommon to Margaret Sharkey (or Sharcott). Left around the time of son Dominick's birth. Found work in Belfast shipyards, and then Govan, Scotland. There he died in 1871, of Typhus Fever.
