I have an ancestor named Hugh Rourke whose family came from Inishmagrath, and I am wondering if this profile might be for his father, who was also named Hugh. My ancestor Hugh was born around 1834, and his parents were Hugh Rourke and Ann McMurray (also spelled McMoragh in some records). My ancestor Hugh had at least three brothers (Cornelius, Michael, and John) and a sister Elizabeth (whose married name was Martin). John (born 1839) is the only one I've managed to find in the Inishmagrath parish records; the earliest records I've found for the other siblings were in East Lothian/Haddingtonshire, Scotland, where the family moved sometime before 1858. Three of the siblings (Hugh, Michael, and John) emigrated to the US in the 1860s, while Cornelius and Elizabeth stayed in Scotland.
I don't have any information about the parents Hugh and Ann other than their names, though I suspect they moved with their children to Scotland. The timeline for the Hugh Rourke in this profile certainly makes him seem like a good possible match for my ancestor Hugh's father.
