Is this Isaac Browne the father of Adam Browne (1809-1863)? Adam Browne's son, James Browne (1853-1933) emigrated to Australia to join the South Australian policeforce. A tenuous connection, but I wonder if Adam was inspired by his grandfather?
Isaac Browne is mentioned numerous times in the Ireland Petty Session Court Registers 1818-1918, as he was a policeman/constable. From 1851 residence - Belturbet; 1853 residence - Kingscourt, Cavan; 1860 residence - Coothill till at least 1868.
